Central Florida Slow Speed CW Net (28.100 MHz)
What is the CFLSSN?
This is an informal net sponsored by Lake Monroe Amateur Radio Society (LMARS). The net is open to anyone in the Central Florida area. Local CW operators from any of the Central Florida Amateur Radio clubs are invited to participate to build a more active local structured slow speed CW net training group. The CFLSSN meets each Thursday on 28.100 MHz. at 7:00 PM ET.
This net frequency was selected to accommodate apartment and limited space CW station operators so they can participate. Anyone can easily locate an indoor antenna of this size for the net. This antenna also allows enjoyment with other stations via skip openings as propagation improves.
For additional info about the Central Florida Slow Speed CW Net (CFLSSN) ,send an email to Les Smallwood, KW4V. Please include your name, call sign and QTH.
Since this Net is open to anyone, there is no real membership to "join". Just hop on the air and check in.
Net Format and Logging
The net is semi-formal. After role-call, each station may make a contact and send a brief message to other checked-in stations and/or to the Net Control station: N4EH.
N4EH, along with others, will copy all net transmissions sent to N4EH and make a log copy of the check-ins and messages. The log will be made available for download on a weekly basis on this page.
LMARS CFLSSN Weekly Log
QNC QNC The LMARS Slow Net has closed as of March 22, 2012. The net was intended for those that have passed the code class that Carl run. In the past year not one of the people who was in Carl\'s class checked into the net. Therefore I see no advantage to continue running the net on Thursday nights. For those who checked into the net from the Wednesday night net I thank you. I will make this announcement at our April meeting. 73 Les/N4EH/KW4V
