What is the CFLN?
The Central Florida CW Net (CFLN) is an informal net sponsored by LMARS. The net is open to anyone in the Central Florida area who wishes to participate. Central Florida is described as those six counties making up the nucleus of Central Florida: Orange, Seminole, Lake, Volusia, Brevard, and Polk. Local CW Operators from any of the Central Flroida Amateur Radio clubs are invited to participate with the intent of building a more active local CW formatted interest group and to further foster morse fellowships. The Net convenes every Wednesday on frequency 3533 kHz at 8PM local time.
Membership
Membership numbers will be issued to anyone who applies and whose callsign is verifiable at qrz.com, confirming callsign registration in one of the six Central Florida counties as listed above.
To obtain a LMARS CFLN membership number, send an email request to K4NMR1@gmail.com. Please include your name and callsign.
Net Format and Logging
The net will be semiformal, and subject to change as needed. After role-call, each station will get a chance to make a contact and send a short message (usually 30 words or less) to any other station checked in, or to the net control station/N4EH.
N4EH, along with others, will copy all net transmissions sent to N4EH and make a log copy of the check-ins and messages. The log will be made available for download on a weekly basis on this page.
