HAMs in the Park -- Fox Hunt Practice

During our January Hams in the Park event we will set up our Fox so you can practice fox hunting using your home built tape measure Yagi antenna, or any other antenna you may have. This is in preparation for our upcoming fox hunt on February 7, 2026 .

Not sure what fox hunting is or don't have a tape measure Yagi antenna then head here for details.

What is HAMs in the Park?

LMARS and OARC have teamed up to organize a gathering that is typically monthly and held at a local park. This gathering of Amateur Radio Operators is what we call "HAMs in the Park". We'll operate from various local parks. We enjoy fun, fellowship, and learning! While the gatherings are not typically at a Parks on the Air (POTA) park, once in a while we do pick a POTA park and we operate as a POTA station. If your not sure how to operate as a POTA activator we will help you and show you how.

We look forward to seeing you there.
